sgkiser Of course I first heard it as part of "John Wick." I found it hauntingly beautiful and paused the stream to track it down. Yes, I liked it that much. Favorite track: Think.

Ancient Call Great pop music ... with a dark tone and a strong focus on vocals Favorite track: Think.

A. Rogers The smooth, haunting vocals and minimalist beats are the reason to listen and love this. The very best of 80's/90's power vocals such as Annie Lennox, Sinead O'Conner, and Blondie are distilled down to their very essence, leaving a purity and power belied by the easy feel of the vocals and apparently effortless integration of beats and effects. +1 for all lovers of sultry female vocals and smooth beats. Favorite track: Think.

Cameron Hofer If you love dark, smooth, minimalist beats as much as me, then this record will seriously hit you. I'm not much of a vocal guy (more the instrumental type), so when I dig vocals, the artist is doing something seriously special - and the vocal work here is stellar. Fantastic harmonies, fantastic production, everything is in the right place. Sexy, yet childlike-fun at the same time - a perfect balance. Slap this electronic masterpiece on, set the mood to dark, and glow along with it. Favorite track: Ruby.

about

Kaleida are Christina Wood (vocals) Cicely Goulder (keys, production). Their demos of Think and Tropea racked up over a million plays on Soundcloud and YouTube between them in early 2014.

The Knife’s mixing engineer, Christoph Berg, has fine tuned the demo versions of Tropea and Aliaa for their debut EP which weighs in at 24 minutes, with four addition tracks including a cover of Al Green’s Take Me To The River, delivered as android soul.
